CANDIDATE TERMS OF USE

This document and any documents referred to within it (collectively, the "Terms of Service") set out the terms of your relationship with Hirehoot Ltd. ("Hirehoot," "we", "our", or "us") when you access and use our website (www.hirehoot.net) and the Service (as defined below) as a candidate. It is important that you read and understand the Terms of Service before using the Service.
You must accept these Terms of Service before you sign up for, use and access the Service as a candidate. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you cannot use the Service.
Hirehoot Ltd. acts as a data controller for the personal data processed through our Service. We determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
PART A: INTRODUCTION
Hirehoot Ltd. ("Hirehoot", "we", "our", or "us") operates an AI-powered anonymous recruitment messaging platform accessible at www.hirehoot.net (the "Service"). This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions for your use of the Service as a hiring employer.
1. Hirehoot is an AI-powered anonymous recruitment messaging platform for finding work. It gives prospective candidates and employers direct access to one another. We make it available through our website,www.hirehoot.net (the "Service").
2. Candidate Profile Anonymity: "Candidate Profile Anonymity" refers to the feature that allows candidates to control the visibility of their personal identifying information on the Hirehoot platform. When a profile is set to anonymous, it masks personal details such as name, photo, current employer, university name etc. and contact information. Candidates can choose to reveal this information at their discretion during the job application process. The anonymity feature allows candidates to explore job opportunities without the risk of their current employer or other unintended parties discovering their job search activities.
3. Information about you Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use and share information about you.
PART B: CANDIDATE-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS
4. Eligibility and Verification
4.1 To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old, capable of entering into a legally binding agreement in your country of residence, and meet the eligibility criteria outlined in our Verification Policy.
4.2 You must be based in the UK, EEA due to our current operational and data protection considerations.
4.3 You agree to undergo our verification process, which involves a review of your professional experience, impact and responsibilities, and professional development and recognition, as detailed in ourVerification Policy.
4.4 You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information for the verification process, including your CV and/or LinkedIn profile. We may request additional documentation if needed for verification.
4.5 You understand that our team will review your profile using the provided information and publicly available data to ensure we can make meaningful connections between you and potential opportunities.
4.6 If your profile isn't verified and you believe this was an error, you may contact our Verification Team at [email protected] for a review and specific feedback.
5. Your Rights to Use the Service
5.1 Upon successful verification, you will be able to create an account and use our Service, subject to these Terms of Service.
5.2 We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to accept or reject your registration, or to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason.
5.3 Your right to use the Service is personal to you and you are not allowed to give this right to any other person.
6. Anonymity and Profile Control
6.1 Hirehoot provides an anonymous recruitment messaging platform. As a candidate, you have full control over the level of anonymity in your profile. You can choose to make your profile public or anonymous at any time in the platform and any employer you interact.
6.2 You can start messaging with your anonymous candidate profile, and you have the discretion to reveal your identity to potential employers at any point during your interactions.
6.3 You are responsible for managing your anonymity settings and for any consequences resulting from your decision to reveal your identity.
6.4 Prohibited Actions:
You agree not to:
a) Attempt to identify anonymous employers which have anonymous job advertising/s outside the platform's designated reveal process.
b) Use any information obtained through the Service to identify or contact employers outside of the Hirehoot platform.
c) Share or disclose any information that could compromise an employer's anonymity.
6.5 Breach of Anonymity: Any breach of the anonymity feature, including attempts to circumvent the platform's anonymity protections, may result in immediate termination of your account and potential legal action.
6.6 Data Protection: You acknowledge that the anonymity feature is integral to Hirehoot's data protection measures. Any attempt to undermine this feature may constitute a breach of data protection laws.
6.7 Confidentiality: You agree to treat all information about employers, including any inadvertently revealed identifying information, as Confidential Information under the terms of this Agreement.
6.8 Reporting: If you inadvertently discover the identity of an employer outside the reveal process, you agree to report this to Hirehoot immediately and not use or disclose this information.
6.9 Candidate Profile Anonymity: Hirehoot provides a Candidate Profile Anonymity feature. This feature allows you to mask personal identifying information such as your name, photo, current employer, university name, and contact details. You have full control the level of anonymity and choose to reveal your information at your discretion during the job application process. This feature is designed to allow you to explore job opportunities discreetly.
6.10 Company Job Posting Anonymity: You understand that some job postings on Hirehoot may use the Company Job Posting Anonymity feature. These postings will not reveal the company's name or specific identifying details. You agree to respect the anonymity of these postings and not attempt to circumvent this feature to identify the company.
6.11 Public Disclosure of your profile:
a) You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for managing your profile's anonymity settings. If you accidentally make your profile public, you understand and agree that:
i) Hirehoot is not responsible for any consequences resulting from this accidental disclosure.
ii) Information that was temporarily public may have been viewed, copied, or stored by other users or third parties before you revert to an anonymous status.
iii) Hirehoot cannot guarantee the removal of your information from third-party systems or from the view of users who may have accessed it during the period it was public.
b) In the event you accidentally make your profile public, you should:
i) Immediately revert your profile back to anonymous status using the platform's settings.
ii) Contact Hirehoot's support team at [email protected] as soon as possible to report the incident.
c) Upon notification of an accidental public disclosure, Hirehoot will:
i) Make reasonable efforts to minimize the spread of your information within our system.
ii) Provide you with information about which employers, if any, viewed your profile during the period it was public.
iii) Assist you in understanding the potential impact and provide guidance on managing the situation.
d) You agree that despite Hirehoot's efforts, we cannot guarantee that all traces of temporarily public information can be completely removed from our system or third-party systems.
e) This clause does not affect your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to request the erasure of your personal data where appropriate.
6.12 Limitations of Anonymity
a) While Hirehoot implements robust security measures and anonymity features, we cannot guarantee 100% anonymity in all circumstances. You acknowledge and agree that:
i) Despite our best efforts, there may be unforeseen circumstances or sophisticated attempts to circumvent our security measures that could potentially compromise anonymity.
ii) The actions of other users, technical glitches, or factors beyond our control may occasionally impact the effectiveness of our anonymity features.
iii) Certain information, when combined with other publicly available data, might potentially lead to identification, even when individual data points are anonymized.
b) By using our Service, you understand and accept these limitations and agree that Hirehoot will not be held liable for any breaches of anonymity that occur despite our reasonable security efforts.
We strongly encourage you to exercise caution and discretion in the information you choose to share, even when using anonymity features.
7. Your Content
7.1 You confirm that any images, text, documents or information that you upload to the Service, including any feedback or comments that you submit to us (collectively, your "User Content") will not breach the Rules of Acceptable Use.
7.2 When you upload or post User Content to the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display such user-generated content in connection with our products and services.
7.3 Our right to use your User Content does not in any way affect your privacy rights. Please see our Privacy Policy which provides information on how we use your personal information.
8. Rules of Acceptable Use
8.1 When using the Service you must not:
a) Aggregate, copy, reproduce, distribute or re-sell any content on the Service;
b) Give any false or misleading information, impersonate any person or hide or attempt to hide your identity;
c) Act in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation nor advocate, promote or engage in any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, indecent or unlawful conduct (including in your user-generated content), including any criminal activity, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, invasive or offensive behaviour, use of harmful, violent or sexually explicit content or imagery, or any other conduct that, in Hirehoot's opinion, causes or is likely to cause harm, damage or injury to any person or property
d) Introduce viruses, Trojans, worms, logic bombs, invalid data or any other material which could harm the Service;
e) Collect any data from the Service other than in accordance with these Terms of Service;.
f) Violate or attempt to violate the security of our site;.
g) Use any automated system to access the Service;.
h) Upload, download, send, knowingly receive, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our content standards;.
i) Procure the sending of, or transmit, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material..
8.2 Failure to comply with the Rules of Acceptable Use may result in immediate termination of your account and potential legal action (with or without notice):.
a) issuing a warning to you;.
b). immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Service;.
c). legal action against you including proceedings for reimbursement of all costs (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach; and/or.
d). disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary..
9. Ending our relationship
9.1 If at any time you do not feel that you can agree to these Terms of Service or any changes made to the Terms of Service or the Service, you must immediately stop using the Service..
9.2 We may immediately suspend your account or end your use of the Service if you break the Rules of Acceptable Use or any other important rule(s) or terms we set for accessing and using the Service including these Terms of Service..
9.3 We may also withdraw the Service at any time provided we give you reasonable notice that we f you or we end your use of the Service or we withdraw the Service as described in this section 8, you will lose any rights you have to access and use your User Content on the Service and any other portion of the Service. You should therefore ensure that you keep a copy of any information or User Content you use or upload to the Service (for example, your CV), as we will not offer you compensation for any losses you might suffer if you lose your rights to access and use the Service or any other information available through the Service..
9.4 Nothing in this section 8 affects any legal rights you may have under the law of the country in which you are resident.
PART C: GENERAL
10. Our responsibility to you
10.1 We shall not be responsible to you for any claims arising out of the provision of the Service. The Service, and all content on the Service is provided for informative purposes only and on an "as available" and "as is" basis.
10.2 We do not give any commitment relating to the performance or availability of the Service, or the suitability or accuracy of the content made available through the Service.
11. Changes to the Service
11.1 We are constantly updating and improving the Service. We may need to update, reset, stop offering and/or supporting a particular part of the Service, or feature relating to the Service ("changes to the Service").
12. Changes to the documents
12.1 We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available on www.hirehoot.net/terms-of-use
12.2 Normally, we will try to give you some warning before the new terms become effective. However, sometimes changes will need to be made immediately and if this happens we will not give you any notice.
13. Law
13.1 These Terms of Service, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
13.2 This does not affect your rights under the law of the country in which you are resident, including your right to have a dispute in relation to your use of the Service heard in the courts of that country. If you are in Scotland or Northern Ireland, this means that you can also have your dispute heard in the Scottish or Northern Irish courts.
