We’re excited to announce that Brian Collings is joining us as a Board Advisor – a moment that symbolises how far our journey has come and the exciting path ahead.
Going back to our roots, Hirehoot was founded to solve a real problem: the challenges and biases in executive hiring.
Our Co-founder & CEO, Ilknur Tas Ergul, spent over a decade in talent acquisition and saw countless cases of companies struggling to find the right leaders, and talented people being overlooked due to old-school hiring practices.
In 2024, she took the leap towards changing this by assembling the team. Together we set out to build an AI-powered platform that makes leadership hiring confidential, fair, and efficient. We are small, but with a big mission, and an even bigger belief that technology and empathy together could reshape an industry.
Fast forward to today, and Hirehoot has grown from an idea into a thriving platform. We recently reached an exciting milestone: securing early commitments in our angel investment round, which is still ongoing as we continue building momentum for the next phase of growth. We’ve helped startups find their perfect C-suite and Director/Head candidates, and enabled experienced professionals to explore new opportunities without fear.
Each success story – a startup CTO hire that drives innovation, or a candidate who landed a dream role through Hirehoot – has reinforced why we chose to start this journey.
Now, we’re entering a new chapter with Brian Collings coming on board.
Brian isn’t just any advisor; he’s someone who’s walked the path we aspire to follow. As the former CEO of Torstone Technology, Brian took a fintech startup and turned it into a global SaaS powerhouse. He knows what it’s like to scale a company, to navigate the twists and turns of growth, and build a team that can execute a bold vision.

When we first spoke with Brian, we were struck by how deeply and quickly he understood our mission. Having spent 25 years leading innovative teams, it was clear he cared about people: the teams he leads, the clients he serves, and now, the startups he advises.
His perspective will help us anticipate the uncharted territory ahead. With his guidance, we’re more confident than ever in tackling big goals: enhancing our AI matching algorithm, expanding our reach to more companies and candidates, and continuing to champion bias-free hiring in an industry yearning for change.
